Letter to the Editor

Counting 'blessings'

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

Dear Editor,

As Thanksgiving time rapidly approaches, we should all be thankful for our many blessings.

Thousands of communists, insurgents, terrorists and others have been killed dead.

Business leadership and entrepreneur classes have been started.

Top-notch intellectuals in government and education are working hard around the clock inventing new ideas to solve our energy and financial problems.

Hopeless alcoholics are no longer roaming our alleys rummaging around in trash dumpsters looking for aluminum cans.

Stephen Stramel,

McCook, Nebraska

I think it is ridiculous that the Gazette chooses to publish this rot when there is so much to truly be thankful for. Really? Killing people and shooing off "hopeless alcoholics" is what the Gazette editors think we should be thankful for?

    Disgraceful!

  • Killed dead? Is there any other outcome to being killed? Thank God the aluminum cans are safe now.
