Gumb, Alconera exchange vows

OMAHA, Nebraska -- Julie Elizabeth Gumb of McCook, Nebraska, and Edgar Noah Alconera of Broomall, Pennsylvania, were united in marriage on July 3, 2011, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Omaha, Nebraska, with the Rev. Mary Hendricks officiating.

Parents of the couple are John and Nancy Gumb of McCook and Edgardo and Princesita Alconera of Broomall. Grandparents of the bride are Joyce Gumb of Fremont, Nebraska, the late Harold Gumb, the late Ken and Joan Stevens and Betty Hoppe-Stevens of Farnam, Nebraska. Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Melquiades and Dominga Alconera, and the late Benita and Cerila Holgado.

The matron of honor was sister of the bride, Erin Schwenka of Minden, Nebraska. Bridesmaids were Melissa Schneider of David City, Nebraska, Elizabeth Morell of Providence, Rhode Island, Nicole Geisinger of Yukon, Oklahoma, Anna Hunnicutt of Aurora, Nebraska, Michelle King of Kearney, Nebraska, and Julie Schneider of Wahoo, Nebraska.

The best man was brother of the bridegroom, Edison Alconera of Imperial, California. Bridesgroomsmen were Brian Kreisel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sean Engelman of Broomall, Pennsylvania, Brian Beatty of Royersford, Pennsylvania, cousin of the bridegroom, Ross Holgado of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, James Eastwood of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, and cousin of the bridegroom, Rudner DeVera of Merrick, New York.

Charlotte Kreisel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was the flower girl. Ring bearers were nephew of the bride, Brycen Schwenka of Minden, Nebraska, and cousin of the bride, Ethan Bogenreif of Fremont, Nebraska. Brother-in-law of the bride, Dallas Schwenka of Minden, Nebraska and cousin of the bride, Jake Bogenreif of Fremont, were the ushers.

Guest book attendant was Shelby Stehl of Betrand, Nebraska. Program attendants were Jackson and Peter Spilker of DeWitt, Nebraska, and cousin of the bride, Riley Stehl of Bertrand.

Music was provided by cousin of the bridegroom, Ronaldo Holgado, and organist, Marty Wheeler-Burnett.

A reception followed at the Ameristar Casino Grand Ballroom.

The bride is a 2000 McCook High School graduate, a 2004 UNL graduate with her B.A. in English, 1 2005 UNK graduate with her teaching certificate, and received her Master of Education in reading from the University of Edinboro in 2011.

The bridegroom is a 2001 Marple-Newton High School graduate, a 2005 Penn State graduate with his bachelor of science in supply chain management, and is employed at Sunoco, Inc. as a senior sourcing specialist.

The coupe honeymooned in Rome, Italy and Santorini, Greece.

The couple resides in Broomall, Pennsylvania.
