Readiness Center ribbon cutting, open house set

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Gov. Dave Heineman will speak at a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the new U.S. Armed Forces Readiness Center, 38709 East Highway 6-34.

The center will host an open house Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon.

The Red Willow County Veteran's Service Office will have information pertaining to VA benefits and services available during the open house. Veterans are encouraged to bring their DD214 discharge and separation documentation and meet with the transition assistance advisor. Vet center counselors as well as veteran service officers will also be available.
