Let's vote on daylight saving time

Friday, March 18, 2011

OK, we know most voted against guns in the schools, how do we feel about this stupid time change? It certainly doesn't save any electricity having to burn lights early in the morning. It also puts half-awake kids out on the streets and on the school bus in the dark. Only golfers have any advantage of extra play after work. Farmers work day light till dark or later. Lets have a "vote" on this.

  • Old folk will probably all vote with this old folk, and say that we grew up knowing that if we got run over, going to school in the dark, our parents would dig us up and beat us to death, we we weren't already.

In short, leave the clock alone. Stop changing it, as if it needs a new diaper twice a year.

Question: Which way do we take the clock if we do decide to do away with DLST, Spring Forward to the Right time, or Fall Back to the Left Time??

    Hmmm, Time I shut-up.

  • I agree, let's put this foolishness up to a vote. I just wonder what the human toll on stress as we adjust to the clock change.

  • DLST does not save energy, so what is it we are saving? It's either burn the lights earlier in the morning, or in the evening.

God forbid that some child is injuried while walking to school in the dark.

Yes put it up to a national vote, bet DLST will be voted out.
