Letter to the Editor

Back in time

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Dear Editor,

As I read the history of that grand structure, the Keystone Hotel, I couldn't help but think that McCook was a more important and vital city in 1922 and prior years than it is today. The same can be said of America.

No, they don't build 'em like that anymore; it was built to house people instead of existing as a sterile office building.

It's too bad we all can't go back in time, because the 1920s was the Indian Summer of America's freedoms, vitality and greatness.

Sincerely,

Thomas Kope,

Baldwin Park, California
