Senator apologizes for missing event
I would like to express my regret to my McCook and the surrounding community's constituents for being unable to attend the Saturday evening and Sunday events during Heritage Days as well as the Rural Electrification Administration 75th Anniversary Celebration this past weekend.
In addition, I had in every respect intended to bring the "Castle Doctrine" float to ride in the parade but was only able to drive through. This was all due to an unfortunate accident over the weekend; my son experienced a back injury during his high school football game on Friday evening.
I am happy to report that he is doing remarkably well and we are looking forward to his release from the hospital this week.
Again, I am sorry I missed some of the weekend events and I am looking forward to next year's Heritage Days.
State Sen. Mark Christensen
