Letter to the Editor

Earthquake

Monday, September 13, 2010

Dear Editor,

The liberal Left has shaken the very foundations of our republic. The epicenter is Washington D.C. We witness another aftershock every week. I've heard people say "there is nothing I can do about it, so I'll stay in my own little world and ignore it."

There is plenty we can do about it.

We have freedoms here, so exercise them to keep them alive. At the very least, register to vote and vote. Discuss these issues with your neighbors to feel the power of the public opinion. Make others aware of the perils that have permeated throughout our society.

This is the greatest crossroad in American history since World War II. We need to respond, not retreat. Let's send the movers and the shakers in Washington a tsunami wave of civil obedience by voting them out of office.

You know that the Democrats have deep pockets. Send as much money as you can afford to the Republican National Committee. If you do, at least you can say "I saw the danger and I tried to do something about it.

If you can afford it and you have time, take a one-, two-, three- or four-tank trip where the races may be close and campaign. If there are God-fearing solid ordinary citizens running for office, elect them. Go to Arizona and campaign against Harry Reid. [EDITOR'S NOTE: Reid represents Nevada in the U.S. Senate]. The governor should then appoint him to police the border.

We are sick and tired of double-crossing, corrupted, Chicago-style politics. Get them a gone-way ticket to Europe, where they will blend in and feel more comfortable.

The mood of the American people is evident. Patriotic symbols and decor are all around us. We are passionate in our efforts to restore the USA, so we can pass it on to our children and grandchildren.

Let's fight back to stem the tide of the secular sea of humanism and the cesspools of socialism. We are still "we the people" and our nation is still right of center. We are the party of No!

Janine Hall,

McCook
