Bison Burger Feed, football scrimmage set Aug. 19

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

McCook High School athletic boosters have a chance to support the Bison and have dinner Thursday at the annual Bison Boosters Hamburger Feed.

The burger bash will be held Thursday, Aug. 19 at Weiland Field from 6 to 7:30 p.m. prior to the start of the Bison sports drink football scrimmage. The menu includes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, cookies and drinks available for a free-will donation to help support MHS athletic programs.

Admission to the Bison football scrimmage Aug. 19 will be a sports drink (Gatorade, Powerade, etc.). Coach Jeff Gross said any size sports drink is welcome, but the team will especially benefit from powdered sports drink mix.

The scrimmage is set to start Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at Weiland. Another edition of MNB Hot Summer Nights at Norris Park will also be held later that evening, so Booster Club members are encouraging everyone to come early to the burger feed.

Bison Boosters are grateful for Hamburger Feed donations from McDonald's, Jewell Company, Frito-Lay, KICX, Schmick's Market, Sehnert's Bakery, AmFirst Bank, First Central Bank, and Walmart.

Booster Club donations welcome

Any individuals or businesses who would like to make a donation to Bison Boosters and be included in the 2010 McCook High School printed program, please bring a check to the Aug. 19 Hamburger Feed and deliver it to a Bison Booster board member.
