Another eyesore

Dear Editor,

Last week in the paper there was a list of houses that are to be demolished. The old motel on South Street and Highway 83 was not on the list.

This motel is a disgusting ugly eyesore. Tourists and visitors coming into or out of McCook see the ugly site. For the City of McCook, that is promoted for tourism, the old motel is not a pretty sight.

I sure do hope that the old motel will soon be one of the buildings that is demolished.

If there was anything in the office area that needed to be checked out for its value, there has been plenty of time for that.

  • The old recycling center is indeed on the list of projects to be demolished. Demolition at this time has not been scheduled but will be sometime this Spring.
