Letter to the Editor

What's all the fuss?

Monday, January 18, 2010

Dear Editor,

Just do not know what all the fuss is about -- what Harry Reid said two years ago. It was his thoughts, he said it and was right.

Obama is light-skinned, he has no black man's features, his mother was a white woman, he was raised by his white grandma and no doubt was in an all white community.

And as for him waiting three days to respond to the "underwear bomber," he was on vacation. He needs one from his other actions he's had the past year. Denmark, Rome, Egypt and Paris, that would wear anyone out. He loves being president and all the goodies he gets, but not like the duties he is expected to do is an inconvenience to him. That is why he has Gibbs, Hillary, Janet Napolitano and (Nelson).

This is my final letter, heading south for a warm and dry place to live.

Thanks for your time and space.

Olivia Bruntz,

McCook

  • I have a dream, one containing no mention of a man's race in discussion, or the news, or any link to their character or values.

I have a dream, one where races have no statistical differences in their employability measured by their education and experiences.

I have a dream, where all races have the same dropout rate, the same GPA's, the same graduation rate, and the same rate of utilization of welfare.

I have a dream where all races have the same marital rate, and all races shun conceiving children outside marriage, knowing it is a sloth that causes taxpayer angst.

I have a dream where all races have a high accountability and work to assure no transfer of cost to their fellow taxpayer due to their sloth or bad decisions.

I have a dream where all races cease to look to the government handout, and take pride in getting educated and prepared for the workplace.

I have a dream where any person of any race who fails in business blames only himself and the decisions he made, and does not look to government bailouts.

I have a dream where the government decides to sell self reliance as a lifestyle, and is very good at creating a culture of self reliance and accountability.

I have a dream where politicians campaign on their ability to get the populace off the dole, and do not make promises to make new social programs for those already making it on their own.

I have a dream where politicians are proud to report a balanced budget, and that their benefits and retirement plans are benchmarked on those of their constituents.
