Picard, Hanthorn engagement
Kandy Picard and Chad Hanthorn, both of Lincoln announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Parents of the bride-to-be are Dan and Christine Picard of Crete. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Charles and Nikki Hanthorn of Wellfleet.
Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Tom and Anna Blevins and Charles Picard Jr. of Geneva. Great- grandmother is Louise Picard, also of Geneva.
Grandmother of the prospective bridegroom is Grace Hanthorn of McCook.
The bride-to-be received her bachelors of science in horticulture from the University of Nebraska and is the greenhouse manager at Eagle Nursery.
The prospective bridegroom received his bachelors of science in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and is a marketing territory manager at Sandhills Publishing.
A March 13, 2009 wedding is planned at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Lincoln.
