Coat event welcome

Dear Editor,

I would like to thank the folks in McCook for again having the annual clothes closet and winter clothing giveaway.

This community can be proud of itself with the unselfish giving of warm clothes to folks who have no way of buying them.

All should come and watch on Nov. 9-10 and see the happy smiles.

  • I also commend the coat closet ,my only disagreement with it is that some of us "needy " people work during the day & can NOT get there when it first opens when all the good clothing is there ....why not open it say like at 3 or 4 in the afternoon rather than in the morning or at noon when most people are at work .

    I DO realize there is a LOT of clothing there but usually the good clothing is gone by the evening hours when most people are getting off work ...."needy " people do work ,I feel they should have just as much chance as anyone else to get the good stuff ...afterall it isnt our fault we are out there trying to make money .
