Letter to the Editor

Missile solution

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Dear Editor,

Recently, the U.S. and South Korea warned North Korea of serious consequences if they shot off a rocket that could be aimed at Democratic soil.

Such a provocative act could jeopardize talks that supply communist countries with aid in exchange for dismantling nuclear programs.

U.S. spy satellites spotted the enemy several days ago and counter-terrorism and intelligence offices in Washington confirmed that a missile was in position. Urge all congressmen to cancel the launch, thereby improving public relations.

Steve Stramel,

McCook

  • North Korea must like us and feel sorry for Americans, if they are trying to set a situation where our government would have to stop making a 'payment' to someone. That might cause cultural shock in the Government. Ha.

NK keeps playing games with our minds, and we keep mindlessly playing their game, thinking we can win. Perhaps, we need to offer NK what President Eisenhower offered them: Nuc. Pie in the sky, free.

They signed a peace treaty real fast once the Pres. gave them an offer they couldn't refuse. But then, times have changed.

Pray for America folks. Pray for Israel. Arley
