The McCook High School freshman girls basketball team finished up the season Tuesday night, losing to Hershey 47-16 at home.

McCook was led in scoring by Emily Tolliver with 6 points.

Rachel Bradley scored 4 points. Shelby Allen, Erin Wright and Aubrey Rieman each added 2 points.

Bradley led in rebounding with 4. Portia Jameson and Tolliver each had 3.

"The girls came out and played one of the best first halves of the season, but matched it with a very poor performance in the second half," said McCook freshman girls basketball coach Jon Graff.

"It was a challenging season, but the girls did a good job of working hard and getting better."

The McCook High School freshman boys basketball team lost to Hershey 38-30 at home Tuesday in its final game of the season.

Kyle Gaston scored 13 points to lead the Bison. Matt Chitwood scored 8.

"The boys finished the season 3-8, with four games decided by less than a bucket and could of gone either way," said McCook freshman boys basketball coach Jason Cochran.

"They played hard and were a fun group to coach."

The McCook Bison freshman boys B squad finished 3-0 on the season.
