Southern Valley softball team loses 16-8 to Blue Hill

STAMFORD -- The Southern Valley High School softball team lost to Blue Hill 16-8 Thursday at Stamford.

Blue Hill scored one run in the top of the second inning, nine in the third and six in the fourth on 17 hits and six Eagle errors.

Southern Valley scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning and six in the fourth on six hits and three Blue Hill errors.

Sara Alber was the winning pitcher for Blue Hill. Desiree Hill took the loss for the Eagles.

Sierra Greve went 2-for-4 for the Eagles with a double and three runs batted in.

The Eagles compete in the Hastings Invitational Saturday.
