Inflammatory title
Dear Editor,
I do not know if Paul Schneider, the man who wrote this article, is someone local or from a syndication -- it matters not. But I can tell you that I read the message at least three times and never did understand how the title connected at all with the writing. What I saw in his chosen title was inflammatory, racist (unless he plans similar writings for the other three candidates in the presidential contest), and pretty ugly.
Mr. Obama has been called the Antichrist by some because he draws such large crowds; to me, all that represents is that people are ready for a change and for America to once again be engaged as a partner on the world stage.
Whether or not a person agrees with any of the candidates' political and policy views, my hope is that we have evolved to a point of choosing a leader because his/her views most closely align with our own. Voting for or against someone merely because of gender or color of skin, and not because of what the person stands for, is (in my opinion) wasting one's vote.
Thank you for letting me speak.
M. J. Keller
