Stop water waste

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Dear Editor,

I think the Kiplinger Arena is a great addition to our community and am delighted that it is beneficial to so many; however, when it is in use, there is always a sizeable amount of water that runs off into the street.

Isn't there some way that this water could be recycled and used on the parched areas of our city?

It seems such a waste to allow all this water to run into the drains.

Sincerely,

Kay Flaska

  • I don't thing we would be allowed to do anything. Kansas may have 'dub's' on that water also.

  • I'm not 100% sure but I believe that the water running down the gutter is water from the stock pens etc. at least during the fair that is where it is coming from. How do you spell e-coli?

  • That water has been running down the street since I can remember as a little kid. It has nothting to do with the Kiplinger Arena. The water is from the stock pens.
