Evert and Doris Mosher

Evert and Doris Mosher of rural McCook will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Wednesday, July 3. They met in 1942, when Sgt. Mosher was stationed at the McCook Air Base and Doris Bortner was a telephone operator at the base. They exchanged wedding vows on July 3, 1943, at United Methodist Church in McCook. The couple has three children, Dan of McCook, Ed of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Gloria Foxworthy of Parker, Colo. They have several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
