Letter to the Editor

Just do something

Monday, April 28, 2008

Dear Editor,

The price of gasoline is outrageous. Just the other day, I filled up the tank and it cost more than the truck was worth!

And, it keeps getting worse. Write your congressman. Vote. Read your Bible. But do something. Our American capitalistic imperialism economy will be ruined if nothing is done!

Steve Stramel,

McCook

  • Bottled water costs much more per gal. than gasoline.

  • Cars and trucks don't run on bottled water. Produce and goods are delivered in trucks and cars. Higher gasoline prices causes higher produce and goods prices....including bottled water.

  • Only a couple of South American countries, and some of the Arab countries have prices lower than we now have. We are spoiled rotten in America, and we love it.

Don't throw away the old Huffy folks, as the cost of living is going, I feel, to get much worse. Shalom in Christ, Arley Steinhour (and: Yes, I am praying about the road of life we are on).
