There was a recent news story about a man who locked two dogs in a trailer house and moved out of state. After a couple of weeks a neighbor discovered the dogs, one dead, and one still alive. They rescued the dog that was alive, located the man who left them, and threw his sorry behind into jail.
Then there was the recent news story about animal cruelty of almost unbelievable proportion in Red Willow County, Neb. The precedent setting sentence was "just go bury the poor dead critters, and we'll all go home and forget about it."
Moral of the story, if you are an animal abuser, come to Red Willow County, Nebraska -- we're easy.
