Need your help

Thursday, April 10, 2008

Dear Editor,

They need your help!

After 25 years of taking in and caring for the unwanted and neglected pets of the area, The McCook Humane Society is planning an addition to the Animal Shelter at 100 South St. to enhance the shelter space by adding four dog kennels and enclosing the back door to make it more energy efficient and have storage space.

If you are one of the many people who have said that they would love to help but either don't have the time or can't deal with the animals this is your chance to prove yourself.

Donations will be accepted at McCook National Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, at the shelter or by mail to: The McCook Humane Society, P.O. Box 13, McCook, NE 69001. Please mark your donation to "The Building Fund" so it will go to the building project.

Remember, citizens of the surrounding area, it is not only the pets from McCook that are cared for and found new "Forever Homes" but also the animals that are surrendered from your towns and counties in a 90 mile radius of Southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas.

So if you appreciate the services of the dedicated members of the Humane Society send your donations to help out in this project.

All proceeds from the Humane Society Rummage Sale held in the 4-H Building at the Red Willow County Fairgrounds on Saturday & Sunday, April 12-13 will go to this needy project. Donations will also be accepted at the rummage sale.

"NO HOUR OF LIFE IS WASTED WITH THE LOVE OF A PET"!

McCook Humane Society
