Norris Park trees

Monday, February 25, 2008

Dear Editor,

The latest hot topic in McCook has left some citizens out on a limb.

Specifically, the trees in Norris Park.

Should we branch out and find other roots? Or perhaps develop shady plans?

My proposal is this:

Let the trees be used by the military for target practice. After they are all shot away, a 100-foot tall statue of President Bush, with 200-foot ears will be placed at the center of the park.

These huge ears, if properly lubricated and connected to a generator, could develop enough wind power.

Steve Stramel,

McCook

  • Steve, I'm not sure if I should be mad, happy, or what, concerning your article. Perhaps I should just feel too dumb to see an insultl, when presented. I therefor have this to say:- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - !

And that is all I will say on the matter, because the line above this box says: 'Please be respectful of others and try to stay on topic." So there!
