Let's put a good face on our community

With the pages of the calendar flipping over steadily, it's time to think about the approach of cold weather.

There are other time factors for McCook residents as well, specifically next week's Heritage Days celebration.

It would be a good time to spruce up the outside of our homes and businesses.

Let's trim back those stray weeds and put the best face possible on our community and our neighborhood.

It's a good time to get the lawn and landscaping in shape for winter, which will be impossible after it snows.

Besides, we're going into the season when nice weather and sunshine, like that forecast for this weekend, will be at a premium, and we need to soak up all that we can.

And, we can't think of a better way to get some exercise than working in the yard and listening to a football game on the radio.
