Dear Editor,

How hot was it Friday?

You know it is hot when you can walk up on a dragon fly sitting on a rock, then take a picture at less than two feet away and he puts up with you bothering him rather than fly away.

I never get within 30 feet of them normally.

A homeowner has no better friend than a dragon fly, that hunts mosquitoes.

To see the dragon fly you only need to head out in the back yard, about dusk to watch an aerial battles that would put to shame any dog fight in World War II.
