Kennel concerns

Dear Editor,

I am writing in regard to the proposed dog kennels. This kennel is already housing 30 plus adult dogs plus puppies in a 10x20 metal building. The question we need to ask ourselves is do we want McCook to have the reputation,, like Lexington, of a puppy mill.

The puppies were taken to Omaha from Lexington. The City Council is now considering a special exception to allow Mr. Miller to have a kennel.

This kennel is within the two-mile radius of McCook and about 125 yards from our property.

I ask each and every one of you -- would you want this kennel in your neighborhood?

I urge you to call your City Council members. We must stop this inhumane treatment of dogs.
