Tortoise interruptus

Monday, June 18, 2007

Dear Editor,

Getting out on low maintenance country roads is not for the weak at heart for the roads are cut deep by the heavy rains this summer. The herbal plants we hunt are very valuable in the ditches but hard to spot.

My wife and I both came from the farm but have never seen this before. Two turtles being friendly in the middle of the county road.

A quick picture, though, and they became shy. Then we put them in the ditch for their safety and the young ones they were trying to make!
