Broken Tee men's league play begins Tuesday night

Men's League play will begin Tuesday night at the Broken Tee Par Three golf course.

"We have 10 teams signed up, and I'm getting calls asking about the league almost every day," said Steve Clark, the manager of the Republican River Valley Event Center.

Clark and Perry Case, owner of the event center, are helping the Davis family promote the course, which is located on the former Elks Golf Course land behind the event center.

"The Davises have done a good job of getting the course ready," Clark said. "It looks good and is ready for play."

Those interested in golfing and league play are encouraged to call Clark at 345-2948. Eleven weeks of competition are planned, with league play continuing through the last Tuesday in August. The two-man teams compete as individuals.

"We are hoping to get enough golfers to have four players starting on each hole," Clark said.
