Possible candidate

Dear Editor,

I should like to suggest that Randall M. Datus be approached to fill at least an interim vacancy seen in the resignation of the outgoing superintendent. As former business manager, and his having held decades-long faculty positions in the city schools system he would, I feel, admirably satisfy the system's need -- particularly in view of the school year's approaching end. There is much he could accomplish to make this year's closing a smooth one.
