Why run letter?

Dear Editor,

I'm very disappointed that the McCook Gazette decided to print a forum letter in its opinion section on April 17. It's obvious to me that Tina Louise's (Wear White Armbands) article is e-mailed to all home town newspapers which service members have died in an attempted to further her organizations (Arms against the war) agenda.

Randy's dad is a very good friend and I know he is in total disagreement with Tina's anti-war stand. And for her to insinuate that Randy died for no good reason is an assault to Randy's memory and to every service member that lost their life in this war. And in my opinion has no busy being in our home town newspaper.
