Room for two songs

Dear Editor,

Your editorial Feb. 27 expresses my feeling about Nebraska's state songs. We have to appreciate the love Jim Fras felt for this beautiful state after being in a part of Russia occupied by Germany during World War II.

Ginger ten Bensel's song seems to carry on Jim Fras' idea of Beautiful Nebraska. She "loves Nebraska and there's a million reasons why." Let's keep Jim Gras' "Beautiful Nebraska" as the official state song and add Ginger's song as a contemporary.

Nebraska is a big state and as your editorial says, "Nebraska has room for two songs."
