Vernon Mitchem

The family of Vernon Mitchem of McCook is hosting a card shower and open house in honor of his 91st birthday. He was born Feb. 22, 1916, at Silma, Colo. His children are Carolyn McNabb of Denver, Colo., Gerald Mitchem, James Mitchem and Gloria Brown, all of McCook. He has eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. The open house will be Thursday, Feb. 22, from noon to 5 p.m., at his home at 102 East 2nd in McCook. Cards of congratulations will reach him at 102 East 2nd, Mc
