Replay of 1932

Dear Editor,

All the hem and haw of the political scene is a replay of the 1932 campaign -- only it is very much amplified by television.

The worldwide Depression of the 1930s-era was the fault of the U.S. president, Herbert Hoover.

Now all the bellyaches of the world are U.S. President Bush's fault.

What may well happen in the coming election is an era of Democratic control just like the 1932 election ushered in the Roosevelt era.
