Letter to the Editor

Old murder

Monday, December 11, 2006

Dear Editor,

We are looking for any information on the murder of Norval Johnson in Frontier County approximately 20 miles from McCook that occurred around June of 1950. The murderers who went on trial were Eva Johnson (his wife) and Harvey Durbin. Eva pleaded guilty under Jodge Lysermark; she was sentenced Dec. 4, 1950. The sheriff that did the case was Emit Trosper of Red Willow County.

We would like any information at all about this -- obituaries or whatever we can find.

Please contact the Reynolds Branch Library at (303) 441-3120 or at home, (303) 601-1299, and ask for Tony.
