Congrats from Crete
Dear Editor,
Dear McCook Bison Football Team, AD, Coach Gross and staff, parents, family members and fans,
I am sorry I could not make the game Saturday, as we were in Sioux City with the Doane College football team attending our son Josh's last football game of the season.
But I did want to offer some comments from some Crete people I work with at Doane who did, including Cardinal Coach Chuck McGinnis, who I saw at practice tonight at Simon Field here on campus where they play preparing for the state final with Elkhorn.
All said they were made to feel quite welcome before, during and after the game in McCook, and appreciated the school's efforts to provide seating for all the family members of the Crete Cardinals.
Coach McGinnis also said he was quite pleased with all the warm congratulatory remarks he received from McCook people after the game. Not a surprise to me at all.
Coach Gross, I will miss you and the team being here at Doane this Saturday preparing for the state game as you were the last several years. I wish you, your coaches and the Bison the best in the future as we all know the Bison will be back, as tradition never graduates, correct.
Thanks
Michael Hartwell,
