No need to worry

Thursday, July 27, 2006

Dear Editor,

As a retired Ohio police chief, I can understand the concerns of those that feel that many residents of your state will be in danger. Please do not worry, as a former law enforcement officer we are all trained to suspect a gun or weapon when we approach a vehicle or person.

So you can see as far as law enforcement is concerned nothing has been changed with your new law. I carry the same handgun that I carried off duty here in Ohio and I am licensed by this state and I own the Ohio Concealed Carry Training Center.

We have a Web site at OhioConcealedCarry.com check us out. Because of this new law, we feel that many gun accidents will not happen, because people will be trained how to handle and secure their hand guns and long rifles. As far as crime, it will go down like it has in other states. I wish you well.
