Huffman, Heien wedding
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- JoAnn Huffman and Eric Wayne Heien, both of Sioux Falls, S.D., were united in marriage May 27, 2006, at St. Joseph's Catholic Cathedral in Sioux Falls with the Rev. Terry Anderson officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jim and Ann Huffman of McCook and Wayne and Barbara Heien of Onida, S.D.
Grandparents of the bride are JoAnn Huxen of Stephenville, Texas, the late Edward Huxen, Sam Houston and Louisette Huffman of Chatsworth, Calif. The bridegroom's grandparents are Raymond and Bernice Cuppy of Faulkton, S.D.
Mikayla Kuhlen of McCook served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tricia Lewison of Pierre, S.D., the bridegroom's sister, Krista Wright of Mitchell, S.D., Barbara Schiefen and Mary Schiefen, both of Hawarden, Iowa.
The best man was Donald J. Fischer of Gettysburg, S.D. Bridegroomsmen were the bridegroom's brothers, Cory Heien of Pierre and Jason Heien of Onida. Travor Diegel of Gettysburg and Joel Smith of St. Cloud, Minn., also served as bridegroomsmen.
The bride's cousin, Hanna Huxen of Bakersfield, Calif., served as flower girl. Hanna's brother, Timothy Huxen, also of Bakersfield, was the ringbearer.
Candlelighters and altar servers were Gregory Huxen of Ballwin, Mo., the bride's cousin and Blake Robbennolt of Gettysburg/
Readers were Chad Homan of Aberdeen, S.D., cousin of the bridegroom; Lisa Homan of Rancho Cucamongo, Calif., cousin of the bridegroom; and Patrick Huxen of Ballwin, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were the bridegroom's brother-in-law, Jeffery Wright of Mitchell; and the bride's brothers, James Huffman and John Huffman, both of McCook.
The organist was John Thuringer of Sioux Falls.
The soloist was Ryan Hericks of Brookings, S.D.
A reception at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center followed the ceremony. Attending the guest book were Brandi Holt of Faulkton, S.D., the bridegroom's cousin and Casey Cronin of Gettysburg. Host couples for the reception were Hugh and Gail Huxen of Baton Rouge, La., and Mark Huxen of Ballwin.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of McCook Senior High School and is pursuing a degree in clinical laboratory science at the South Dakota State University. She is serving an internship at Sioux Valley Hospital.
The bridegroom is 2002 graduate of Gettysburg High School and is attending Northwestern College of Chiropractic, anticipating a 2009 graduation date.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas, Nev.
They are making their home in Sioux Falls.
