Appalling upkeep
Friday, July 7, 2006
Dear Editor,
I recently drove through Memorial Park Cemetery and was appalled the lack of upkeep: dead or dying grass, trees dying, weeds growing in numerous places.
It is obvious that the person responsible for the maintenance of the grounds is incompetent and takes no pride in his work.
He should be dismissed or reassigned. This quality of work would not be tolerated in the business world, so why is it accepted in government?
We, the taxpayers, pay for the upkeep of the cemetery and expect more for our tax dollars.
Sincerely,
A disgruntled taxpayer
