Reward offered for information on person who killed cat

Friday, June 30, 2006

Dear Editor,

On Wednesday, June 28, 2006 on or about 11:30 P.M., a person or persons caught our white cat. They killed him using a large illegal explosive. The cat's name was Doughboy, he was born in October of 1997 and was given to me on Christmas day of that same year. He grew to be 17 pounds, was neutered and had all his shots.

He never strayed from his own neighborhood and didn't bother anyone. We live in Cambridge, Nebraska, where with so many nice people, I wonder how it could spawn the type of people who would do such a horrific act.

I am asking that anyone who knows who did this, or might suspect someone of doing this to please call the Furnas County Sheriff's Office.

There will be a reward tor the arrest and conviction of the ones who did this. Thank You.

Dale and JoAnn Pinkston
