Letter to the Editor

Back-burner interest

Friday, June 23, 2006

Dear Editor,

I would like to express my thanks to K. Matson, C. Cappel, and R. Yost for submitting their most recent opinion letters to the Gazette. It was also very refreshing that the Gazette Editor voiced an opinion in questioning the City Council's wisdom in denying the placement of the towers.

In my opinion, this has proved once again that the City Council has participated in committing a misjustice to the common dwellers of the City of McCook.

As Mr. Yost endeavored to convey, and with great truth, is that the majority of McCook's populace is the average working class. For some reason, our welfare continues to be placed on the back burner.

Mr. Aaron Kircher has come through with flying colors now and in the past (i.e. J. Bingham) in being attuned to the feelings of the common class. Thank you, Aaron.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Skaritka

McCook

P.S. The key lies in voting in the Fall, and voting for those that have our best interests at heart.
