No snacks needed
Friday, April 7, 2006
Dear Editor,
Like many district patrons, I am having trouble understanding the current plan to expand the high school day next year to accommodate a student "snack period."
Isn't this the same administration that cut ag education and French from the school day?
Now, instead of attending classes in agriculture and a second foreign language, the kids will be studying the outside of McDonald's sacks?
From what I understand, students already leave and enter the high school at will, roaming the hallways with hamburgers and monster soft drinks.
Why do they need more of a bad thing?
