Yellow-livered inaction

Dear Editor,

To the headline Tuesday, March 7, 2006, " County board meetings won't open with a prayer, pledge" I rise to respond ... after a motion failed for lack of a second at their regular weekly meeting Monday morning.

As a "blue-blooded" daughter of the Most High God, I despise, I deplore the yellow-livered inaction of the majority members.

As a "red-blooded" American, I despise and deplore the vicious intent of the yellow-bellied proposition.

Ashamed of Him who Angels praise? Whose glory shines through endless days? Ashamed of Him? No! Sooner far, let midnight blush to own a star. No! When I blush, be this my shame, that I no more revere his name!
