Some simple advice

Tuesday, February 14, 2006

Dear Editor,

Poor Mike Hendricks, like a street-corner Freud, is constantly obsessing over women, their cheating, flirtatious ways, and how they can best relate to men to form ideal "relationships."

This all sounds like the soulful lyrics of a typical country ditty.

He has a list that says women should be feminine, kind, caring and supportive, have acceptance of who we are, sexually compatible, offer companionship, and be "committed," whatever that means.

There's an old song from the early 1960s that goes: If you want to be happy/the rest of your life/pick an ugly woman/to be your wife.

If Night Mike would follow this simple advice, everything else would fall into place quite nicely. He'd have a faithful woman who never flirts or cheats, she'd be committed to him with all her heart, would readily accept him for who he is, and, I'm sure, judging from his picture in the Daily Gazette, she'd be sexually compatible,

Sincerely,

Thomas Kope
