Beads treasured

Dear Editor,

I have a treasure -- a string of Mardi Gras beads -- from McCook, Neb. I am from near Meridian Miss., and on Sept 10, I passed through McCook on the way to visit with friends in the Leroy community of eastern Colorado.

In McCook, a gorgeous young lady came to the window with beads she was selling to raise funds to help people of the Gulf States recover. She and her group will never know the lift that gave.

Thank you every one for the caring spirit personified in that child, her friends, and the leaders of the group.
