Letter to the Editor

It's blasephemy

Monday, September 26, 2005

Dear Editor,

Why would we care about number 1 in something we don't care about ["Ignoring No. 1, focusing on mediocrity" (http://www.mccookgazette.com/story/1119379.html)]?

The fact is women's volleyball, while fun to play, isn't really that fun to watch or follow.

The author should quit focusing on ticket availability and understand that the religion in Nebraska is Husker Football.

I have lived in Texas for the last 12 years and I haven't missed a single game or put another sport higher.

THOUGH SHALL NOT WORSHIP FALSE IDOLS such as this bandwagon fad sport that happens to be number 1 for their 15 minutes.

Anyway at the Wake Forest game, we had to acknowledge this volleyball team for 5 seconds -- PLENTY OF RECOGNITION -- This columnist should be fired for her blasphemous and sacrilegious comments telling readers to to ignore husker football.

She disgusts me and she should leave the state and this paper immediately -- go to K-State or worse, Colorado!

Don't mess with Husker football, ever!
