Bison softball takes on Holdrege, hosts invite Saturday
The McCook High School softball team will host a doubleheader Thursday night against Holdrege.
The twinbill starts at 5 p.m. at Jaycees Sports Complex.
McCook, 6-0, will host its invitational tournament at the Jaycees Complex Saturday.
McCook will play Alliace at 9 a.m. on the East field, followed by Cozad vs. Scottsbluff at 10:45 a.m.
On the West field, Holdrege plays Chase County-Imperial at 9 a.m., followed by Minden vs. Chadron.
Winner's bracket games will be played at 12:30 and 2:15 p.m. on the East field and consolation games will be played at the same times on the West field.
The third-place game is slated for 4 p.m. on the East field and the seventh-place game is 4 p.m. on the West field.
The championship game will be played at 5:45 p.m. on the East field and the fifth-place game will be played at the same time on the West field.
Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students.
The Bison will wrap up their home stand with a 5 p.m. twinbill Tuesday against Lexington.
