Letter to the Editor

Thanks, coaches

Friday, July 1, 2005

Dear Editor,

This is a first for me. You know how you always think about doing something and then you just never get the job done? Decided I would take the time to let some very dedicated people know how much we appreciate their time and efforts. I recently went to our grandson's (Zachary Hueftle) little league baseball game at Felling Field and the intent of this letter is to say Kudos' to Zachary's Coach Tony Spilinek. He is an awesome coach. He is the true meaning of the program ... teaching the fundamentals of the game, teaching good sportsmanship and teaching the boys how to play together and have a good time. Even when a player struck out or didn't catch the ball or maybe didn't run fast enough to get on base Tony had nothing but positive comments to each boy making him feel like an important team member. Once again Kudos, Tony!

I don't want to leave anyone out as I know there are many, many people who spend hours with the young boys and girls thanks to each and everyone of you. Keep up the good work!
