Use a mesh bag

Dear Editor,

I enjoyed Ronda Graff's article on mushroom hunting, and certainly agree with her premise of a (nearly) free and profitable pursuit in lieu of paying for exercise.

One minor detail -- please note that one should NOT use plastic bags for gathering morels.

One should instead use mesh-type bags in order to allow the spores from the mushrooms to disseminate along the route, thus ensuring a crop in future years.
