BEAVER CITY -- Gerald "Jerry" Webb, 55, died Wednesday (April 27, 2005) at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege.

He was born Jan. 4, 1950, to Jess and Betty (Short) Webb in Goodland. He grew up in Goodland and graduate from Goodland High School with the class of 1968. He then attended Goodland Tech School for two years in the electrical department. He later moved to Steamboat Springs, Colo., where he was a heavy equipment operator for Johnson Construction Company. He moved to Beaver City in the late 1980's. He was a heavy equipment operator for Adams Construction Company in Arapahoe from July 1988 until early retirement due to health reasons in 2002.

On April 19, 2005, he married Jo (Clements) Lambert in Holdrege.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and son, Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Jo of Beaver City; parents, Jess and Betty Webb of Goodland; son, Steve Webb of Budge, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Webb of Liberty, Mo.; step-son, Deano and wife, Sue Lambert of Arapahoe; two step-daughters, Laura and husband, Kelly Koch of Axtell and Amy Lambert and spouse, Diana Whalen of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, Larry Webb of Aurora, Colo.; six step-grandchildren.

Graveside services are Saturday, 2 p.m., at Mount Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Breinig and Keith Theobald officiating.
