Letter to the Editor
Against ethics
Monday, March 7, 2005
Dear Editor,
I agree with Maureen Jones "Foe to fluoridation" http://www.mccookgazette.com/story/1090608.html) that there are many reasons not to fluoridate water.
The fluoride used is hexafluorosilicic acid which is toxic waste from phosphate fertilizer factory chimneys. It is registered as a poison under the 1972 Poisons Act and is not pharmaceutical grade.
It is more poisonous than lead and only slightly less so than arsenic. Most water is used for washing with only about 1 percent used for drinking. Medication should be prescribed individually and not given en-masse with no control over the dosage received. This goes against all medical ethics.
