Missed the point

Thursday, February 10, 2005

Dear Editor,

To whom it may concern. You have obviously missed the point I was trying to make so let me clarify it just a bit.

First off, I don't care what you did in the past, it's not my business and is of no interest to me.

Second, I looked over all of my papers and didn't see your name as the responsible party on anything.

Third, I checked all of the family albums and your picture isn't in any of them, so I'm not your brother and you aren't my keeper, in spite of what you may think.

Fourth, if you spend as much time minding your own business as you seem to spend minding the business of others, you'll be so busy you won't have time to worry about what the rest of us are doing.

Last, my grandmother had a plaque whose words I find quite appropriate: Oh Lord, Help me this day, to keep my nose out of other people's business.

End of conversation.
